Jayce's Dammage..

Let's start from the beginning. Long story short, I bought Jayce because he seemed top. Rather than going top I decided to go bottom lane. I got my Q first, and then my E. Just talking at level 2, two skills. So I use my Acceleration Gate, and use my Q at a Vayne and do literally nothing. I did like 50 damage, even though I hit her dead on. Yeah, I did kind of leave after that because I had to go so I didn't play his late game. Please tell me his Q is terrible early game and is better late game. Am I doing something wrong? My first item was dorans blade, and had around 80 damage.

In short, am I doing something wrong or is his Q bad early game?

I think his Q is crappy early game, because I really don't acknowledge the Jayce in my lane until later on when he starts taking half of my goddamn hp with one blast

Whew, thank god it isn't just me. I barely scratch Vayne and she's squishy as heck.

Yea, I wouldn't worry about it until you play late game
