Step 1 ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Make sure the person you are trading with goes to YOUR Mpgh profile and posts who they are as in their E-mail for MSN or Their username on Skype don't proceed until you verified they did it
Step 2 NEVER accept a request on MSN from someone who looks like an OMM unless you REQUESTED that they add you also remember that the OMMs DO NOT use Skype.
Step 3 Make sure they show you the link to the item(s) they are trading you in the conversation in MSN or Skype
Step 4 ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take screenshots of EVERYTHING PayPal transactions, the conversation, Email proving you verified for them to be able to change Email|Pass|Etc.
These steps will not PREVENT you from getting scammed they WILL, however, help you convict the offender upon them scamming you
THE ONLY WAY TO NOT GET SCAMMED IS USE AN OMM, THESE STEPS ARE JUST TO HELP YOU CONVICT THE PERSON IF THEY SCAM YOU|Furthermore STEP 1 and 4 are the most crucial of all in the event of a scam
Another thing that can help you convict them is if you recorde the screen via FRAPS or Bandicam just make sure you can see everything being said in the convo

I took the time to write this guide to help anyone trading without an OMM as I realize OMMs can't always be on when you want to do a limited time trade, but always remember to get proof they own the account etc. and NEVER trade with someone you have a bad feeling about.
