Zombies not attacking and missing options in default scroll menu

Hi

Whenever I'm playing DayZ (any map/mod), zombies are not attacking or noticing me. Only if I shoot they come running, but then don't attack me.

I'm also missing some options in the original key/scroll menu. I can't give bloodbag, repair/refuel cars etc. The options simply doesn't show up. I can switch between weapons, get in and out of cars etc just fine, so the scroll menu works, but are missing options.

I don't know what trigger this, but on a completely clean Arma OA/DayZ install, i don't have any problems.

Anyone have the same problems?

If you're using god mode then they don't attack you. Depending on the script. You need to look at the .sqf.

Nope, it doesn't have anything to do with scripts. I know this because it happens wether I'm using hacks or not. When loading up DayZ without running the loader, it's exactly the same thing.

Well yeah, but it would be nice to understand why it is happening, and if it's a common problem.

For anyone having the same problem, only reinstalling the OA expansion pack won't work. You have to reinstall Arma 2 itself. And remember to remove any leftover files in the install dir. Player profiles are saved separately and can be left untouched.

Question remains though, if anyone are experincing the same problem, please let me know

I clearly figured out myself what the immidiate solution is, as I wrote "...on a completely clean Arma OA/DayZ install, i don't have any problems.".

In case you're really in doubt, I'm just trying to figure out the root cause to help the community.

If you want to play legit, that completely ruins the point. That just makes it only pvp. No survival.

Reinstalling wont do shit lol,its due to some .sqf files,say the main one which you inject to have the entire menu load up,some of them have a remote trigger, basically meaning when you press insert it wont just load the menu,it will load a script which i cant remember the name of,ZombieProof or something like that,my guess would be to look in the sqf and see if there is a exec vm=godmode.sqf or something on the lines of this

zombies not attacking its a bug in dayz, sometimes they attack sometimes not.
and about the scroll menu it's a bug too, I notice this in the last patches, you need to relog or just move around until this option will apper.
dayz bugs....
