I have this problem that I never had before with minecraft. Every time I maximize my minecraft window and then go into full screen mode using F11 everything is fine but whenever I click my left mouse button the screen is flashing and when I click it fast it exits out of full screen and I am back into the maximized window. Any help?
I have Windows 7 64bit
I use OptiFine and the game resolution in the optifine settings as 1024x768 but my screen resolution is 1280x1024.
I tried reinstalling Minecraft completely, reinstalling Java 32 and 64 bit completely (I have both now Java 7 update 17 64 bit and the normal one) and nothing works. I also realised that when I have MW3 on windowed mode the flashing i similar. I think its something with my pc. Also I have AMD Control Engine installed or whatever its called.

Hmm it may be that your computer can't handle minecraft fullscreen. Try to full screen minecraft with the button in the upper right hand corner and see if the same problem occurs.

The problem doesn't occur when its like that. It used to be able to handle it on fullscreen but then it just stopped by itself. I use to play on full screen like that the whole time until one day I just started my computer, opened minecraft, put it on fullscreen started clicking and it was like it is on the video.
Did you install anything big (another game) before it started happening?

Might be lacking ram so it's skipping frames.
Hello Xray999
Could you please post your PC specs.
Have you updated your graphics card recently?

I fixed the problem! Some file was missing from my registry and all I had to do was add it back in but thanks for the help guys! For people with the same problem what you have to do is open up Notepad and paste this in it
and save the file as fix.reg and then run it, restart your pc and voila.Code:REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop] "WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000" "HungAppTimeout"="5000" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Cur*rentContr*olSet\Control] "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"="5000" [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop] "WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000" "HungAppTimeout"="5000"
