If you cut your wrist you don't die right way..It takes 5-10 minutes sometimes depending on the cut. And if they cut off your arm they just close up the veins so blood can no longer flow past them.

You have arteries all around your body, which carry blood and oxygen throughout the body from the heart, and theres one on your wrist (I think it's either the radial or brachial, but that doesn't matter in this case). The larger the artery, the bigger pulse you will feel.

The only way you could die from cutting your arm off would be from intensive blood loss.

The blood will eventually clot and stop the bleeding, there are tons of capillaries and arteries in your body so that arm won't matter much if you stop the bleeding.
