Hiya MPGH,
Today i gonna show how to get a lower PING in crossfire.

"REAL" Solutions For "REAL" Problems.

1.Get a FASTER Internet Connection. Not *** Dial-Up Connection...

2.Move House.^^ Or sit in a AIRPORT<--Very FAST WIFI! haha.

3.Go to your friends house and play it.

That's about it.^^

It also depends the bandwidth being used, the amount of traffic between you and the server and the server load itself.

If you dont do any of the things above...UR Screwed!

1. People like me wouldnt invest on a better internet just because crossfire lags.
2. You want people to go out to an airport just to play crossfire? Doesnt make sense to me.
3. Same as above.

Tip: If you dont use an antivirus, it will lower your ping by 5-10. (personal experience)

High ping is not 100% determined on how far the data has to travel. I can be on a server in egypt or a server 10 minutes from me and still keep a low ping. It's how your internet is setup and how good your setup is. For example, if you spend the time making your ethernet cords and tips and making sure they are the right length and not too loose or too small it will allow it to how a easier time sending data to your modem. Same goes for from the modem to your box outside of your house. ping can also be affected by anything running on your pc that requires internet. For example, Utorrent you might not even know it's open and it can be seeding a recent torrent and making your internet sluggish. Distance is not always the cause of higher ping.
