Their are hacks out there that allow you to unlock hidden items or rank locked items using cheat engine, their tons of hacks out there.
If their was a good bypass for Cheat Engine I am sure lots of people would find out how to get the address.
Its been done in the past and I am sure it can still be done now.

EDIT: The Santa Hat is bought from NX is it not? Doesn't that mean he could of bought more then 1 for 90 days then activate it at that time, or at this time?

Even if you buy it for 30 days, the expiration date wont change till you activate it.

It'll stay at 30 until you do, I believe, or theres a certain date you must activate it by.
