I doubt dying from old age is painless, you're dying because your organs and shit are failing and cant support you anymore. Youre dying because your systems are failing. Probably hurts like a bitch

Take a punch of sleeping pills and fall asleep in a car while allowing it to fill with carbon monoxide.

This will be an unconscious death, similar to the lethal injection method. You'll be put in a deep sleep, then the carbon monoxide will slowly kill you

However the fatality rates of firearms are much higher, so this question is really about whether or not you're willing to risk a quick suicide for possible pain, or risk a possible failed suicide for no pain.

Either way I'd suggest waiting off until you kill yourself. At least make yourself useful, a lot of people will pay good money for someone willing to throw their life away.

Typically when someone is dying in these fashions their brain released a shit ton of chemicals to keep them super high and happy.

This is why when people are near death due to body failure/injury they say they felt at peace.

Just live bro enjoy your time while you have it. I happen to have known someone who has lost both of his lifelong best friends through a car accident and he goes through grief every single day . What you may be going through may be tough but cherish your life, you only have one after all.
