HD Video Recording Settings

Does anyone know of a good video recording software that will allow you to record in HD 1080P so I can upload it to YouTube as 1080P. I currently have Bandicam (though I'm sure it's extremely not up to date with the current version, since it's pirated). I plan to record Left 4 Dead 2 gameplay and upload it to Youtube, however, when I use bandicam it will ALWAYS crash my L4D2. And yes, I play it through Steam (not sure of any other game providers for L4D2 on PC).

Anyways, if it's a glitch I haven't heard of, then I also have Fraps but I'm not sure what settings I should keep it on. All help will be appreciated and rewarded with a 'Thanks'

In order to record a 1080p video, you must have a 1080p resolution monitor.

You still can record any video at any resolution and make it 1080p but you will lose a lots of video quality.

I use Camtasia Studio 8, simple, fast, easy.

thats a good program to record your screen like tutorials not for gaming.

Just use a cracked version of Fraps, there's several on here.

I'll use those links for Fraps, but the real question is, once I have Fraps what video settings should I apply on it so I can record in HD without lagging on my game?

Depends on what game settings you're running and how good your machine is.
