    Why not bump this thread to discuss more movies?

    I recently checked out 2001: A Space Odyssey and American Beauty.

    I have to apologise in advance to all Kubrick fans but 2001 was a fucking terrible movie. Period. It felt like a 2-hour-long screensaver. I felt complete apathy toward the characters, the story and the movie as a whole. Plus, that ending was horrible.

    American Beauty, on the other hand, was a very, very good movie. I connected to the characters so much. And that ending... My God, that fucking ending.
