A Steam trading card/badge hack?

sorry but ive got to ask what would be the point of hacking trading cards? arent they just another pointless form of achievements?

Think about it like this. It IS possible. BUT you would have to hack into the steam servers. GLHF

Won't happen and can't happen as the trading cards are server side, not client based like achievements. For this you'd need to find an exploit into the steam servers just to change it. And it would take so much effort to get in it wouldn't be worth it.

They already concluded that. It's all serversided because valve grew some braincells so it's not possible anymore

Well, although some cards are dropped randomly -- usually in games without storyline (i.e. l4d2 or killing floor) -- some cards are dropped by in-game events (meet certain characters, etc.) so if one could create a program that tapped into the Steam API and simulated these events, you could get half of the cards for each badge. (You can only get half from in-game drops)

At the very least, it may be possible to create a hack where you would launch a game, run a script for that specific game, and you would have half the cards for that specific game.

Sorry for the eventually bump. If now used a hack to get all TF2 achievements and it says "no card drops remaining in this game" and I haven't received a single card drop, does that take away all my chances of getting card drops or will I still be able to get them by playing?

I wish it could happen because I've looking every were on the internet and I can't find anything that has to do with steam trading cards/badge hack. It would be awesome if someone could actually make this.

The only point really is to craft the badge for experience/vanity. It gives you experience which then at certain levels you can add things to your profile.

pretty old but fuck it, you can use idlemaster it will unlock trading cards for the games you have.
