Payday 2 Hacking FAQ

i put the .lua in my payday2 folder, along with the .ini
I even downloaded a trainer and put them in the folder as well.
It just refuses to start the game whenever the .dll or .ini are in the game directory.

I'm not sure if this is because of spawning gun mods, but Crime.net seems to be pretty empty now. Not a lot of join-able games on the legit version. Few days ago, crime.net was full of games, and now I can hardly find any playable ones.

it's Christmas time and tons of new games are coming out. Payday 2 can only let you do the same heists so many times. People are probably moving on.

Did anyone figure out the issue on why the game won't start if the .dll is in the directory? It seems to be an issue for a lot of people including myself

It's extremely odd, mine still works completely fine.

Perhaps you have 32bit?

no sir, I have 64 bit. and nothing seems to be working for me perhaps someone could help me over team viewer?

Same problem for me, the game just doesn't launch with the .dll in the game folder. Have Win 7 64 bit, latest version of the game, using the .dll given in the OP.

EDIT: Got it working with the .dll given in this thread. You might want to check the one in the OP.

Aye, they should be the exact same files, although mine only has the iphlpapi and none of the other things.

Could someone help me with that iphlpapi.dll file, when I put that file in payday dir (D:/Program Files/Payday 2/) , and when i lauch payday with RVTL laucher (becouse im playing with tunngle, in online mode) the errow window pops up iphlpapi.dll error, cannot be found (something like that..), I need help here

I have a great question, but is slightly out of place here, but none-the-less related. After viewing the script hacks for Payday 2 and messing around with it myself, I thought it could be possible to do the same for Payday: The Heist, I have successfully extracted all the .bundle files using jpmods bundle extractor but all the lua files are encrypted. After various searches, relating to Payday 2 lua encryptopn, I have found that people have managed to crack that encryption (Goodness knows how) and have managed to find variable names and thus get to where we are today, where we can simply hit insert to run lua code and activate hacks.

So my question is, can I transfer this knowledge to Payday: The Heist?]


(Actually questions, I'd love to know how people figured out how to boot script.lua for payday 2 so I can replicate for P:TH)

I suppose I can just use cheat engine for infinite health and ammo, those are dead easy, and I suppose all that I need.

I wonder if an update has caused this issue. Whenever I attempt to open Payday in Steam now, it refuses to open and tell me that Steam needs to be running in order for the game to work. It turns out that if I remove my iphlpapi.dll from the Payday2 folder, it opens just fine.

I've tried Transcend.iphlpapi.v1.0.3.mpg but that just gave me the same result.

You'll have to update your Lua Hook which is the iphlpapi.dll file. You should look for an updated Lua Hook on google
Latest one is Lua Hook v2.2.2 but It's not currently working because of Death Wish. Harfatus is working on it
