Well I don't see Treyarch or IW suing 4D1 or any other group for "modding" their games. It's always Activision who does that. Adding dedi servers in now would be like "Fuck you Activision, fuck your lawsuit".
Honestly, I think the devs don't really care if we mod their games and play online on cracked versions. It's only Activision who's worried they'll lose money because of this. Even though they have Ghosts coming out soon, they're still complaining about MW2 being cracked...

I need a 3rd hand for another facepalm now. ACTIVISION/TREYARCH RELEASED THE DLC SINCE THE 26TH OF SEPTEMBER, AND THAT WAS THE DAY IT WAS SUPPOST TO BE RELEASED. IT'S 4D1s FAULT NOT ACTIVISION'S. WHO EVER "MODS" THE UPDATE JUST DIDNT COMPLETE IT AT OPERATION2

but still no update from 4d1 or operation2!?!
i don't know why they don't release new update?!?

Now it's my turn to facepalm. Don't you remember that big announcement on 4D1's site? Activision started suing them only days after Vengeance update was released. It was because they put it out too quick. Now they're slowing things down.
And who says I'm disappointed? I saw this coming, and I've been patiently waiting for them. 4D1 didn't shut the servers down completely, so I know they're still planning to release it, but only after the heat from Activision dies down a little bit.
