show the fame count kind of like how it shows when you gain xp

Some form of fame bar which actually shows how much fame you're getting per kill 5% towards 1 fame etc.

I love the idea of an announcement when an event like hermit or sphinx is happening.

I remember in an old hacked client instead of showing how much damage you dealt per shot it showed how much damage the monster had and counted down.

Quite a simple hack to do really. There's a function that spits out the string of how much damage is done. Back when I implemented this, it was very easy to find the function because it did a pushstring "-" and then added the amount damage. All you have to do is getproperty the health variable, subtract the damage, and send it on its merry way. Changing the color of the text makes it even more fun.

FWIW, they updated this a little bit and changed some of the stuff. I had some wildly in-depth crap on mine and it no longer worked "out of the box" when I tried updating it last night.

I'm sure it just depends on what you had it showing, mine was admittedly more than anyone would ever need to know haha.
