Alienware x21.
Hey I posted a thread a while back in the computer section, but that section is basically dead.
I'm looking for a decent gaming laptop for gaming. I'm not looking for high-end laptops for high-end games but something decent.
Budget: 500-800
Games looking to play: CF,Combat Arms,A.V.A on all Max settings with Max FPS and maybe NFS and BF4 with moderate FPS.
I've been searching around and here's what I found.

Why don't you look around for yourself?
Amazon Laptop
Though I just found that real quick... you need at least 4GB of RAM and a 3GHz processor for BF4 that might not be enough to max out but I haven't seen the spec requirements so it might do the job.
Shitty thing about laptops is that the parts cost so much more than they really should. So, for what you pay $1200 for, you get a mobile $400-$500 machine. It's kind of a shit show really. If you are on a budget and want to play games like BF4, just get a desktop. That's really the bottom line.
If you absolutely MUST have a laptop, then please do not buy it from a place like BestBuy. It's so marked up beyond recognition in stores like that. Awful graphics card for the price if you ask me. I'd look elsewhere.
Precisely. The very notion of a "gaming laptop" is sort of contradictory in the regard that Notebooks are made for portability, which is an element that's rather irrelevant for gaming. If someone really wants portability AND power, I'd still recommend a desktop build, though a Micro ATX at that. The price/power ratio is so cost-inefficent it's ridiculous, and yet most of the ignorant world is led to believe that Laptops are just as powerful.

Alienware is shit, why not just build your own PC? if you desperately need a gaming laptop, MSI is the best choice
The reason I can't build my own desktop is because I'm going to be living on campus next semester and I'll need the laptop for other tasks also besides gaming.

Don't bother building a gaming laptop, it's not worth it. You could get a desktop build for the same price and it'd run much, much smoother. Laptops are not made for gaming. If you're gonna use a laptop to take notes just get a cheap, light one for ~$100-200 and spend the rest of your budget building a decent desktop.
