    mswsock.dll crashing Firefox

    Dear All,

I require some help understanding a issue I am having with mswsock.dll. My son plays Hero Squad online. It has always crashed Firefox with this error (see below). I have tried a number of suggestions none have fixed the problem. The game uses Unity Web Player and no-one on Unity support forum is replying to my thread and Gazillion (company who created the game) don't have a clue.

I have ran combofix, hijackthis & TDSSKiller none fixed this issue. I can supply logs on request (doubt they are needed though)

I have a few instances of mswsock.dll (see jpeg attached)

mswsock.dll free download - DLL-files.com - Download that and place it in your System32 folder, then try again.

already in System32 folder. I'm not a fan of these types of services either. Would just like info on why it is causing the problem
