Why do you guys think people create/follow religion? Of course creating and following are 2 separate things, so feel free to give 2 answers.

People can't explain some shit through science, so they explain it through fairy tales.

People create religions to influence people, and people follow a religion because it's the norm or they feel it's right.

create religion to answer questions people do not know, Follow religion out of ignorance and because beliefs they want to believe
Hope. Something to keep them moving on everyday. I think that's a good reason to be religious. Like don't follow the bible and the freaking rules and everything cause they are contradictory and like plain out like harsh sometimes you know. So just believe and hope. That's religion for me

Religion seem to have a negative connotation to atheists. And it is completely justified. The most bitter wars were started in some ways had ties to religion. I would argue that there is no "atheism". When you deny a certain religion, you are believing that it is not true; since most of the time you cannot disprove a religion's authenticity. You can see how some countries who claims to have no religion adopt their own set of morals and ethics to follow by; is that not religious ideas?
Another point,
Religion is so powerful is because of the moral relativism innate in atheism. When chaos and social disparity becomes overwhelming, religion unites people under a single moral code, whether that be "good" or "bad", it is unity nonetheless.
