After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the British and French took over their lands which is modern day Saudi Arabia and all of the other countries in the Middle East. When the Brits and the French decided to give the countries "independence" back, they installed puppet dictators in charge of those countries that are controlled by them.

Take for example Saudi Arabia. All of the money the west pays for oil is reinvested back into western businesses by the Arab billionaires the west have put in power. The rest of the money is used to spread Wahabi ideology across the Middle East and Africa and to brainwash uneducated Muslims into extremism.
