Best brand for headsets?

I've been searching for headsets for a while now, and I don't know which brand I should get. I'm looking for a headset that is compatible with PC, PS3 and preferably PS4. Please do not recommend me Turtle beaches, I've had the PX21's for a year now, during that time, both sides snapped, in which I had to duck tape them together, they became out of shape, making my ears ache after a certain period of time, and I didn't get much potential in sound and just last week, both sides stopped transmitting sound. So which brand do you recommended?

Hehe. I also am looking for a new headset. I also have turtle beaches, x11. I have been told that Astros, Steelseries, and Sennheiser are good. But I am only aware that Astros are compatible with PC and PS4.

You can always get decent headphones and a clip on mic and then get an adaptor for PS3/4. That's the most effective options, but I guess members of MPGH do tend to be lazy as shit. Your choice you want to pay a premium for L33T Gamarz Headset, or go for something fantastic.

At least 95% of so-called 'gaming headsets', are nothing more than glorified paper weights. Hell, most of the mics they use, the literal defining feature of the entire product, are cheaply-made piles of crap. People really need to open their eyes and stop being spoonfed bullshit.

To expand on what Doc said, pick up a good quality pair of cans and simply add a mic. Look for brands like Sennheiser, AKG, Audio-Technica, and V-Moda, while staying as far as physically possible from BS like Skullcandy and Beats.

I don't use a head set I use a studio mic and KRK8400 headphones.
Top quality products and everyone always comments on how clear I sound.
