Is my essay good?

I read The Old Man And The Sea. I have a bunch to say about this book first thing I liked the book at the beginning, but when I got into it the book got better and better. The old man goes out to sail to the sea to end his streak of not catching fish in 84 days. He finds a big fish name Marlin and he catches it, but things turn out to backfire. He goes back then sharks come and they eat the big fish to the bone. And the old man is left with nothing so it is a sad book. With no happy ending that's why I didn't like this book and I hate it. And I wish I read another book than this. I recommend that no one reads this I think it would be better if it had a happy ending. For example he goes back home and he sharks come he fights the sharks then makes it back safely. And put like a epic detail battle it would be awesome and a good improvement. I thought it would been really better without the bad ending and with a good ending or a epic fight ending. But sadly they didn't put that.
