A movie is being produced on the very first console war between Ninetendo and Sega.

The irony of it all is that Sony is producing the movie!

Although, not sure what the movie would entail, besides crazy advertisements.

Sega was shit, is shit, and continues to be shit. Sonic was it's only good IP but other than that, it is a failed VGC.

But I would pay money to see it.

How was Sega shit? Sure the CD and 32X addons may have flopped, but in Japan the Saturn was a massive success and the Dreamcast was the most revolutionary system at the time. The Saturn could easily look better than the Nintendo 64 (look at the Shenmue Beta for Saturn) and have the storage capacity of the PS1. It's just that nobody knew how to develop for it properly. They also have other good franchises too. Like Nights, Alex Kidd, Shinobi, Phantasy Star, Shenmue.

The only thing I can agree on in this post is the Phantasy Star being good. It was and still is. But Like Nights, Alex Kidd, Shinobi and Shenmue have had pretty bad sequels. There is a reason almost all of them are discontinued.
