So, today my Dad asked me to fix up an old computer for his broad of a girlfriend that has been sitting in the garage for nearly three. fucking. months. Not only has it snowed nearly 10 feet total in the past 1-2 months, our all time lowest temperature was negative 27 degrees. In February. I expected it to be broken, or in the very least messed up so bad that parts would need to be replaced.
I didn't mind too much, so I took it and gave it a look through.
I open it up, and guess what? The inside is literally frozen so bad that the South Bridge was cracked open, the CPU fan was so brittle I was afraid to move it, and the RAM was literally immovable without doing horrific damage. It looked like some snow or water got inside somehow and froze.
I let it sit, and tried again in a couple hours when it "unthawed" a bit. Knowing the water would do some sort of damage, I take another look. Besides the parts not being as frozen, it wasn't much better. He literally screams at me saying I ruined his computer and that I need to buy him another one. I tell him as dumbly as I could, because he doesn't understand computers, that the chipset was destroyed because of the extreme cold and there was nothing I could do.
He continuously yelled at me until I called him a fucking idiot, then he stormed out the front door probably to a bar or something.
For fucks sake, why are people so dumb sometimes.
Not really a complete rage, but here is better than general.
