Hey guys!

So hopefully this thread will help anyone that needs to know ( a bit ) more about cheat engine,
Or it might just be a (Simple) recap for people that are already advanced.

So lets get started!


1. Process List vs. Window List

TIP: The list will be going from the time that the process / window was open, More recent windows / processes will be at the bottom while old ones will be at the top

Process list:
+ This list will show the actual processes running on your pc, These might actually not have a window ( Such as Plugin container for Firefox )
- The processes might not be so obvious if you dont know what you're looking for. ( Such as javaw for Minecraft )

Window list:
+ This list (Usually) shows icons making the list easier to follow
+ Actual window names that you are used to seeing
+ Will attach to process of window
- Wont show windowless processes (Or processes inside of a window(Plugin container for Firefox))

2. VALUE TYPES MATTER!

Choosing the wrong value type is a common rookie mistake, Although it might not make sense at first. Value types represent the same number, but in different forms. Although games will sometimes keep a value only on one type, you will sometimes come across a the same address but represented in different values. For example: 20000 in Float is 1184645120 in 4 Bytes


Thats really it for now, Just the two big things about cheat engine new people dont really get.
