Photoshop Liquify Swirl Not working

I try using the liquify tool as in this tutorial video at 11:15 in the video to swirl, but when i do nothing really happens i have to hold down and swirl for like 5 min to get the results he did in 2 sec. Any ideas?

Check your settings. In CS6 under Advanced, check the brush rate. Also, if you're using a pirated install, it's likely bugged and you'll have to deal with it.

I can't believe there are video tutorials for this stuff.

Probably the rate that your brush moves in your settings. That happened to me once during a photoshop class I took, try playing around with your settings.
