How do I make a picturea appear in my thread?

I have a simple question, I hope there is a a simple anwser, because whenever I try to upload an image, it just gets shown as an attachment to the thread instead of it being visual.

Do you mean an avatar?
If you are talking about the actual thread, it is supposed to be an attachment.
Once it gets approved, the visual will show.
If not, you can always upload it to imgur or tinypic.

If you want it to be embed it you need more posts.

Once you get enough posts you put [IMG]imglink[/IMG] in your thread.
