The guide to all AP exams, focus the fuck on MC test taking. There is a good chance you could get a 55 or something similar on the MC, but not on the essays. You would have to get high scores and know a lot of shit about everything. AP World exam, I completely aced the MC because I practiced the shit out of it. And you know what? I only studied two hours. If you get a 55 on the MC, you could afford to get 5s and 4s on your essays and get a 5.

MC doesn't require much knowledge, just common sense and powerful test taking skills.

I get what you're saying, I just think you're just saying it wrong.. MC is all knowledge because you are drawing facts from what you've learned. Whereas essays focus on both knowledge (being able to provide facts to back up your statements) alongside with analysis.
