    Do I need a mobile carrier for jailbreak?

    several times I've noticed that in cydia it says that I don't have a mobile carrier. So should I get one or something?

    No you dont( well i think) If your saying like services such as Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. Then no, if u wanna download tweaks on Cydia, you may need WiFi connection. And to do the jailbreak all you need is the programs. If you have it downloaded already you wont need internet/WiFi.
    So the answer is no.
