Incorrect and no the Qur'an is not a reputable source of historical information. You are incorrect in the sense that Israel has held the claim to that land longer than any other civilization. Carbon dating and DNA matching have shown that Israelites were the first people who lived in that land. Cold hard science. Only those who originated in Africa have lived longer. Even you Egyptians have broken blood between the original Egyptians and the ones that live today. So if we are talking about "claiming the land", then we have to give back the land of every middle eastern country to the Turks, considering that in relative years Israel is about.

The whole Israeli state and stuff? Well it basically goes all the way back to the Treaty of Versailles at the end of WWI and the late 1800's with the establishment of the Zionist movement.
With the fall of the Ottoman Empire the Middle East was divided into mandates that the French and British would control, one of these was the Transjordan mandate, split into Jordan and Palestine. Since the late 1800's European Zionists, a movement for the establishment of a Jewish state in the Middle East, was becoming more and more popular. The funny part over here is that Israel is begging for a ceasefire at this moment.
as Egypt being a middleman in this issue between Israel and Hamas, they agreed on a ceasefire without even talking with Hamas or any Hamas officials, and the terms of the ceasefire were only written down by Israel officials
