How to import text or pictures into a client

Here you will find out, as the title says, how to import pictures or text into a client

So lets get started I guess :P

 

- SoThink Swf Decompiler [We will use this to add the pictures and text to the client]

- SoThink Logo Maker [We will use this to get the pictures and the text and save as an SVG so the SWF decompiler can read it]

&

- A basic RotMG client

 

1) Open up your SoThink Logo Maker and put what you want into it

For this tutorial I'm gonna use

2) After you're done, goto Import/Export at the top bar and 'Export SVG' save it to where ever.

3) Load SoThink SWF decompiler and open your client on it

4) Navigate to 'Shape' and I'm going to be using 'Shape 27' [Mad God] for this tutorial.

5) Rightclick the shape you wish to edit and press 'Edit'

6) Open the drop down box on 'Select' and click 'Select All' and delete it.

7) Open the drop down box for 'Import' and press 'Import' or you could just click the thing above the text :P

8) Find where you saved it and open it

Something like this should appear

9) Double click in the middle of it. This will be hard if your text it black.

10) One by one, keep dragging them into different places and soon enough it will turn out like this:

If you wish to make it bigger just click one of the letters and press 'Transform' at the top near 'Select' and 'Subselect'

11) Now put them in the right order and place and when you're done just click 'Finish Edit' in the top left hand side

12) At the top you will see a 'Save'/'Save as' button, choose which ever you want, I like to Save as just in case it breaks your client :P



And you're now done

Meh, it sometimes does that, I've never really known why. What did you try to import and stuff?

You probably didn't do it right. Honestly you need to know what you are doing to be able to stop that error. If you have a backed up version of the client then try again

What's this got to do with enemy and item sprites? Also, if you're referring to remove textures it's better to add the sprite to client to avoid unloading textures.

So what can you do to fix it? I'm tried to add Doku No Ken on Club559's source because I can't get Phoenix to work. I added it to lofiObj3 towards the bottom.
