Thresh : Ancient Coin or Relic Shield?

I usually go for relic shied but I heard ancient coin is good too.
When to buy relic and when to pick ancient coin?

Relic Shield 90% of the time. Ancient Coin doesn't offer any good laning stats, while Relic Shield offers health and a way to sustain from the 40 HP health execute. However, the upgrade (Nomad's Medallion) gives MS and may help against ranged champs (buying boots early would be the better option though). Buying the Talisman of Ascension is usually done if you need disengage/engage when your current team composition offers little of both. Nevertheless if you are already in this situation, I would buy the Relic Shield early (and possibly its upgrade), then sell it and start building the Talisman of Ascension once laning phase ends.

You literally get shit on in lane if you have coin (from experience), autos hurt like shit, abilities hurt like shit, and relic shield gives you some decent sustainability at least.

Coin is pretty much useless, worst Gold gen item. Shield offers more benefits during lane

I used to go coin just because of talismans engage/disengage and mana regen to constantly spam Q's. Relic is better now for execution of minions and helps you AND your carry stay in lane.

Relic Shield is better overall. But if your ADC needs mobility it might be better to go for Ancient Coin

Relic shield no doubt. Mostly because it a battle of sustain and farm. So it`ll be easier for you and your adc to stay in lane, get more farm as well.
