I can't stand dubs. They just sound weird.

Dub > Sub imo, maybe it's something that I don't like about the delivery in Japanese but most shows sound strange to me in Japanese even though it should be better with the lips syncing up and all. I dunno, I generally prefer Dub but Subs are perfectly fine with me.

What sort of anime do you watch? I tend to think that e.g. action anime are more tolerable than e.g. slice of life anime, mainly cos action is usually just the characters shouting in the fight sequences whereas slice of life has a lot more talking,

I would say that I'm more into the action kind of anime with a deep story behind it, kinda like a conspiracy theory or something along those lines. I'm fine with subs, I just prefer hearing certain things said in my own language.

In action fighting anime always use dub so you don't miss out on anything. Subbed for anything else.

Action anime with deep story and conspiracy theory........

So Death Note? I can't think of another dubbed one of those.

Only subbed, most often I get the feeling that the dubbed ones have some synch problems

I prefer raw/subbed, but dubbed works sometimes in cases like Spice and Wolf, and Code Geass, in which I think the voice actors were perfect, their voices fit , and voice syncing by Funimation was superb.

Subs. There's a couple of dubs that are better than subbed, but almost always subbed is better than dubbed.
