mat hacks aren't detectable at all.
They've been around since the beginning of TF2. I've used mat hacks on my main for 4 years and counting.
What most likely happened is newbs using his mat hacks with other public hacks that WILL get you banned.
Unless Zeraxis put something else other than material files, you can't get banned.

Crash to desktop? HL2.exe has stopped working? My game freezes for up to 10 seconds when I do it, but it recovers and I am able to continue.

i think you got the same problem as me, try create a server with the map "itemtest" and open your console, type sv_cheats 1, and mat_reloadallmaterials
after that, try to connect to a server you want, see if it works

ummm the wallhacks works partially, but you dont always see the people behind walls....is it just me?or is the hack made like that?

Enemy player was definitely using wallhack and I public chatted that he is using wallhack. Because it was so obvious. Then he said that I'm noob and I envy his skills. And after that he immediately voted to kick me accusing him for cheating.

So, I wanna say that if you guys using this wallhack, at least don't be an assholes like above. Maybe some of you too pussy to admit you cheat, but being a little manly even on multiplayer games is appreciated.
