To be honest, judging by the fact the majority of users on this subforum are either begging for free hacks or unable to find where to buy one, I'd say they've done a pretty good job so far. Just compare what you can do in SA and in mod, you'll find quite a significant difference. Not to mention having an annoying obstacle between you and memory of the game in the form of our beloved battleye.

I highly doubt they'd ever make their security impenetrable. What they can do, however, is make it harder to write cheats and stay undetected, requiring us to make a more thorough approach to examine the game, it's weaknesses, etc. Not many people are willing to dedicade their time for this so they give up and thus we have less people cheating now than before.

Also, don't hacks actually bring profits to Bohemia Interactive? I mean, people buy hacks or download free detected stuff, get in a ban wave, buy the game again, repeat and so on. Everyone is getting their profits, it seems to be an interesting and peculiar way to make people rebuy the product while they don't complain about having to do this.
