    My Mood
    Bashful

Exclamation Why scripts cannot be marked as "detected"

So let me go over this with the DAYZ community.

There have been a lot of "detection" reports on my thread (https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=785807)

Here is an example of me using the same menu (all I did was add extra scripts) in the latest gamemode.

Now why are there reports of banned accounts from using my menu?

Lets go over different ways to inject scripts into DayZ standalone.

    1) Darky Script Executer (https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=773652)
    - This has been VAC and BE banned for the past year. Some people may be using this, getting banned, and submitting false reports

    2) Cheat Engine (and modified versions)
    - I had a modified version of cheatengine and I was still VAC banned. All cheatengine type injectors can be considered detected and some users have been submitting false reports on scripts for this issue.

    3) Script Executers (purchasable kinds)
    - I have no say in if, and why this may be detected. All I can say is that if VAC or BE figures out how they are injecting it then you can rest assured that you will be banned within a few days. Some users MAY be using this method and false reporting on scripts.

Let us all remember Raiins thread here: https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=789068
I would like to highlight this part: there have been no incidents in my personal experience where a certain script caused a BE Ban/VAC Ban

Why would this be the case you may ask? Let use go over the point of the ARMA and DAYZ games.

    ARMA:

-- This game revolves around the modding community. This community creates mods of all kinds. If a mod for example uses the line
    Code:
     player setDamage 1000;
and battleye decides hey lets ban uses for running that script, what do you think will happen to users that play on that mod?

    answer: they will get banned.

in short: battleye cannot detect scripts because if someone uses a detected script in a mod then non-cheaters will be false reported and that would cause numerous issues.

    DAYZ:

-- Dean said in the beginning there was darkness (alpha) and then there was light (the modding game).

Dayz was ment to be a modifiable game from the beginning. They know that the entire community that they are working with loves modding games and that striping this from any game would ruin it. They would not put battleye detections for scripts in because that would do the same thing to DAYZ that i would do to the ARMA series.

    TL;DR

-- If you use a script executer to run a script and you get banned, don't say the script gets you banned cuz your going to have a bad time.

And to MPGH staff members, Why would you mark a file as detected if 3 users say "DETECTED" in the comments? I could have me and 3 others go and say "DETECTED" on a thread and get it closed for no real reason. Maybe if some actual evidence of the file causing the ban then a Detection mark would be permitted.
