    ssd

    Do i have to have the recovery disk to install the ssd for my laptop?

    What'd you mean? To install a copy of windows or what?
    To install a new SSD to the computer just create a new partition in the device manager for your computer and you'd be good to go.

    Uh no. You're installing a completely separate drive, unless you're implying you are swapping current drive for SSD? In which case, unless you transfer over all the current data to said SSD then yes you do.
