How does VAC detect the hacks?

high number of reports + high kills to death = overwatch or vac scanning your pc

vac scans your pc
if they find hacks or steam achievement manager then they will ban you.

i believe 5-10 over watchers would review your game.
if more than 50% of them convicts you (says your hacking) then you get vac banned.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS OVERWATCH BAN NOW.
Overwatch bans are now officially vac bans.

When you inject DDL files you can play a few games and then you can't join any game anymore or you wil get VAC-banned after the game.

Vac has blacklisted hacks codes that are kept in the database. It scans your active memory for those signatures. Just keep in mind that vac bans are not instant. You can get flagged if you are using smth and it can take from 1 day to 2 weeks for the ban to occur,you will never see it coming.That's why it's better to get yourself a private hack.
