    Power Supply problems

So I put my AMD card onto my motherboard with the fan on top of it. Plugged the fan into the motherboard. Then I installed the RAM card and the Video card. Unboxed my power supply and there was just a SHIT TON of wires. So I connected the 24 pin thing to the motherboard and one of the 8 pins to the motherboard. Then I looked around the motherboard to figure out where the other 8 pin thing goes, but there's no other place on the motherboard. Then I heard I needed to connect a PCI-E cord from the power supply to the Video card so I did that. Now my power supply has a random 8 pin wire(s) thats a part of the giant bundle of wires that I assume need to be connected to something and a few more PCI cables and some SATA, Floppy, and Peripheral cables that I don't know how to use. (I believe I only need to use one PCI cable for the Video card, there was a 8 pin and 6 pin slot on the top of the video card (GTX 760) and all of my PCI cables are 6+2 pin so I used one for the 8 pin slot, not sure if I'm suppose to use a 6+2 pin on a 6 pin slot since there would be an extra 2 on the side that lead to nowhere.) If anyone is actually serious about helping, I could actually take photos of this sloppy pile of trash I have assembled and link the build/parts I used.

@Bernard. A few picture of the mobo and connected wired in a nice bright light would help.

Costs like 40 - 100$ MAX, plus they will do great cable management, he probably has all his wires all in the front and shit like i did mine.

It ain't that hard to do cable management though, you just need to keep the wires in the back and put them in the closest holes and cable tie them to the cable management holes.

Do you have a modular power supply or is it non-modular?

It's probably just an extra cable so that you can provide power to a second GPU if you plan on SLI/Crossfire. Post pics and we will be able to help you.

Alright I think I have everything plugged into something. Thing is, the optical drive doesn't have a SATA cable going into the motherboard. (I had 2 SATA cables and used them both for the HDD and SSD) It does however have SATA cable (or what I think is a SATA cable that connects to the power supply). Another thing is, when I turned on the power supply, the green light on the motherboard turned on, yet none of the fans started turning (they're all plugged into CHA FAN(#) slots). Solutions?

UPDATE: Alright so the entire build is done and everything is in place. Plugged in my monitor, speakers, keyboard, and mouse. Put the Windows 7 disk in the hard drive. Restart the computer. Asus logo pops up and tells me to press del or F2 for the BIOS thing. When I pressed F2, the screen just went black. Solutions?

Another problem, on the case, the power button doesn't work but the button to the right of that does (which seems to turn on the computer anyways).

    Here's the case I have: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Carbid.../dp/B006I2H0YS

    Solutions?
