Whats Better? Faster RAM or More RAM?

I'm gonna be switching out my RAM to either

    This: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...B6MaArNP8P8HAQ

    -or-

    This: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengea...A106PHGT7TH2MK

But I'm not sure if I should be focused on the RAMs speed or its size.

    Help me out please.

Presuming that you'll be playing games and not doing any hardcore rendering, a faster speed would be nice but it won't really make a difference when it comes to in-game performance.

So if my main purpose is gaming then I should be focused on more RAM?

If you are only gaming then you only really need 8GB of RAM, and if you were going to do that I would go with 2400mhz sticks. I am not sure of the difference in performance between 2400mhz or 1600mhz but if its only small then I would get the 16GB

Games focus more on GPU nowadays so RAM doesn't matter as much anymore. Better games require better GPU than CPU. So 8gigs is more than enough. Go for the cheaper one since you wont be needing as much RAM.

Video RAM is useful for UHQ textures.
Generic RAM is useful for opening multiple applications.
RAM speed generally isn't a factor in just about any gaming metric.

I don't have a lot of RAM as of now, but my GPU is pretty beefy. I have a GTX 780 SuperClocked and my CPU is an AMD A8-5600K 3.60GHz. So my GPU and CPU are fairly decent.

your CPU is extremely underkill for a 780 superclocked. it WILL bottleneck it

also, ram speeds do not matter - much rather their latency BUT thats not important either for gaming.

get the more RAM you can get for your money and call it a day

Get more RAM, RAM speed doesn't matter that much for gaming.

I feel that my CPU isn't too bad.
    What would you recommend?
