Some of you who know me more personally may know that I have a sleep disorder that I take meds for. If I don't take them I generally won't be able to fall asleep in any sort of timely manner, which does have a few benefits. One of the benefits (that ended up as the problem in this case), is that I'm able to work a lot longer work hours than I normally would be able to. My work is all dependent on getting the job done, so hours are basically irrelevant in getting paid.


Basically, my boss had a ton of renovation projects for people fixing their homes, with Winter being right around the corner and all. Two of the other contractors up and quit, so we've been incredibly shorthanded for the past 2 weeks. I didn't want to let my boss down, so I was taking every single project that came through the door, and putting in anywhere from 16 to 20 hours a day for about 10-12 days straight. In all, I clocked in about 200 hours within a 2 week period. #CashMoney

Can you guess what happened this afternoon?
I woke up in the ICU of my local hospital with a fluid drip shoved into god damn arm and at least 4 different doctors standing over me. I thought I could handle it, but apparently I built up so much of a sleep debt that I became exhausted, and reached literal system collapse. From what my work records show, I passed out the morning of the 16th, and I only woke up at about 3PM on the 19th, over 3 days later. My landlord found me unconscious on my kitchen floor and took me to the ER. Whether it was my exhaustion, the withdrawal from my meds, or a weird reaction from my condition, the docs haven't found an answer yet. The huge problem was that I obviously hadn't drank anything for the whole time, and I was severely dehydrated. The nurse told me that all of the skin on my body would stick up when pinched, just like the skin on your knuckle, and they had to IV bag me 4 times in a row.

Well anyway I'm fine now, just glad to be back to the world of the living, but it's still weird as hell to know that it's the 20th.

Tl;dr I was unconscious for 3 days and almost died of dehydration.

Glad your fine now the same thing happened to me but the only difference was (the only thing i remember) that i was playing League of Legends and then after somehow i was in a hospital where my parents was standing beside me and i was like WTF? how i got here? then my parents told me that they found me on the ground and the interesting thing is that i also vomited there falling right into my vomit and the thing i hated the most was that my mom changed my fking clothes and i didn't even shaved my pennis,damn that feeling but i am fine now ^^ the only thing bothers me that if i vomited then i didn't remember that :/
