What got you here? (MPGH) and into game hacking/programming?

Hey,

I'm new here and I wanted to introduce myself with a nice little topic, and it would be nice if everyone could submit just to see where everyone is coming from and how every person got to the stage they are at now, and even what motivated them to continue.

I code in C/C++ and a little bit of inline ASM (just to move a few variables here and there). I started off because I got bored of everyday life, and I realized that with programming I can do a shit tonne of things. All from my computer. What motivated me to continue so far, is my thrive to be better than everyone. And there are a lot of MPGHeans I look up to just by looking at their posts and how knowledgeable they are. These include ~Hitokiri, Master131, and InSaNe.

I started off really by reading a book on how video games were made with c++ back in like 7th or 8th grade, then hacking my psp, doing basic coding on random games, learning a little mips making basic codes, stopped doing coding for like 3 years, trying to get back in to it as a hobbie.

Joined in 2008 for combat arms hacks.
I started programming in 2007 because computers interested me, and then I started coming to the programming section in 2009/2010.
I'll never forget all of the people who made this section great back then, even though you guys probably don't even come here anymore.

in case anybody is wondering, I use C/++ and x86 asm.
Currently intrigued by 65816 assembly as well and SNES dev.

Well, back in the days when I played combat arms hackers where really common. When others are overpowered with aimbot/shoot through wall, you desperately want that power (especialy when your 13 xD). This is where I got my empowerment! And It's good to see you guys here after 6 years
