Rear right tire had a god damn nail in it, like right on the edge, where the top of the tire approaches the side of the the tire.

Pull up to a tire shop, tell the guy my tire has a nail in it.
He looks at it, pulls it out, and puts some rubber kind of substance inside which clogs the hole.

Then he tells me it won't last long and I'll need to get a new tire pretty much ASAP. Then charges $7.

Usually they'll patch the hole, but apparently it was too close to the edge

I love how he told me I need a new tire right after he put in that rubber thing.
What was this magical piece of rubber doing that the nail wasn't already?
