Don't get that old ass CPU. Either get a new i7, or if you can't afford it, an i5.
If you can tell me what you're using this build for + your budget, I can whip up a good build for you.
I got the i7 for free so that's why it's added there. Won't be for extreme gaming or anything. I'll still mostly stick to PS4 since that's where my friends are. Just a small amount of gaming. Mainly something faster for game development. Typically with Unity.
But I don't need a beast build or anything. I don't have the money to buy a new i7 or even an i5.

Get two 4GB sticks instead of one. Unless you only have two ram slots you should go with two sticks.
Maybe go with some aircooling also. The lower end water coolers aren't really worth it. Also which model of samsung ssd is that? the 840 evo has a lot of issues unless you get the pro version.

840 Evos are just fine. I've had my 1TB for over 5 months, and nothing bad has gone wrong.
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus OR Evo are really good air coolers for under <$30. It's highly recommended if you're on a Budget, and you want a silent, but very efficient cooler.
The 840 evo's have a documented flaw in them that even samsung has aknowledged and they are promising to bring out a fix for. At the moment though i would buy another ssd instead of getting one with a currently broken firmware.
The reason to get two 4Gb sticks is that they will run in dual channel adding some performance and unless you are planning to get 32 Gb of ram it's kind of wasted cash to pay the premium for a 8Gb stick.
the hyper 212 is amazing for the price. You could also look into noctua's coolers if you want something a little fancier.
buy and build me 1 aswell 0_0
