MacBook is better with Video Editing / Recording and Security. Windows is better with Gaming, and coding. The rest is pretty much equal.

If you want an over priced shiny laptop go MacBook. For all your other computing needs go windows. :]

I personally love Apple's Keyboard, Trackpad, and the overall look, but I hate everything else about it.

If you're going with Apple for the retina display, you can get a 4K @ 60Hz laptop, for the price of the laptop you're getting.

If you want to do Video Editing/Photo editing, Apple is best for that.

If you want to game, go with a Windows laptop.

Apple and Windows based laptops are similar with each other, in terms of Security. Sure, Apple has a nice built in Anti-Virus, but Windows does allow you to download Anti-Viruses with a fee, or for free.

If you want to go for the Keyboard/Track pad, the Macbook is better.

If you're going for the overall design, you're better off with a Windows based laptop. Sure, Macbook pros are nice and sexy, but you can find nicer Windows based laptops, cheaper.
