It's really over-hyped, people act like the exorcist (scariest of it's time) just came out.
I AM a big horror movie fan, but I watch them more for the plot/humor and for the thinking process that goes into them than the "getting scared".
This movie did indeed suck ass.

Trailers NEVER tell you even a bit about the movie. Except the gore level, but only sometimes. Like in The Hills have Eyes (one of my favs) they put all the gory scenes in the trailer, made me laugh.

A lot of us have watched it. Waste of money, but hype is always tempting, especially when you weren't going alone to watch it *hint hint*
