I'll call it "Descent"

It was inspired by a kickass C4D and an Eve online render, and it ended up looking a lot like Energy's cataclysm thing, but much less pro. I have no idea how to make non-analogous colors look good, nor do i know how to put any text in without detracting from the natural movement of the eye. The second is fuzzier and has text.

Can serious people critique this? I believe there is quite a bit of opportunity for improvement in just this tag.

Use a selective colors filter, and have a color wheel handy so you can pick colors that are good to combine/etc. Apply some gaussian blur to the text, and put it near a sharp edge of one of your renders/whatnot. Try to use the Rule of Thirds, frame it into 9 sections, and put the most detail into the spots where the lines combine. Last one is a lot clearer, and doesn't have conflicting colors that "challenge" your focal spot, which should be, in this case, your ship. That's all Ima post for now, see what your results are (post em up as edits on this thread). That is all.

I tried the rule of thirds thing on this, guess i failed
I usually do the guassian blur on the text, but I've never tried putting it next to a sharp corner, i'll try on the next one.

if you wanted to make it look like it's getting destroyed, try using flame stocks

I tried to put it from the 2nd to fourth quadrant points, and I'm not trying to make it look destroyed. I'ts kind of like when the space shuttles reenter earth's atmosphere, they get that smooth flame glow like on the upper part of the ship.

I substituted some c4d's wrapping around it for flame stocks.
