Anyone been able to activate a RU key on a US account? I can't get it to work. I even run steam on a RU vps and ran a game on that machine. Still couldn't activate the key. Never had an issue like this in the past with RU keys. VPN has always worked.

It's easy I did it with a russian copy (region locked) ;p
has anyone actually bought a ru cheap copy of H1Z1 from a steam key site and used a russian VPN to activate it then log off the VPN and download and then can play fine without the VPN.
I pre-ordered Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 for $17 on a Russian website and used a Russian VPN to activate it through steam and I have been able to play it flawlessly, but I hear now that they also made it so you can only play Russian games while you are in Russia/VPN through Russia...
I've just bought a russian VPN steam gift.
I accepted the gift and put it in my inventory on my regular IP.
Logged out of steam
Then I used OpenVPN and the free config I got from incloak.com (request code, then go to incloak.com/vpn and get the config.)
I went to the OpenVPN folder. overwrote the folder 'config' and connected to Russian Moscow 1.
Started up Steam and went to my inventory and put it in my library.
Logged out.
Turned off the vpn
And you can install and play without any vpn!
I can't seem to activate it. I've tried so many vpns and have tried every possible way. Either the inventory doesn't load, or it just doesn't get added to my library. If you managed to fix it, pls hmu and tell me how
