50 refined metal+1 key,what should i trade first?

yes,im going to buy 50 refined metal and 1 key(wat).

so,i dont want to but things that im not going to use,or that i know im going to sell inmediately(example:i got 30 ref and the conga parasite that i bought at scrap.tf,i used the 30 ref on stranges and hats that i never used)
the only thing that im going to use inmediately is the key on a random crate,i never unboxed because of the extremely low chance of unusuals.
tell me,should i use the 50 ref on hats first? or should i get stranges,taunts,frying pan.....

I'd go with weapons.

Most weapons in TF2 can be traded for about 0.5 scrap each, stranges cost a few ref and "Collectors" can cost you much more depending on the rarity of the kit used to make it :3. Cosmetics mostly sell for 1.33 ref, though some cost more and others less.

I would recommend buying any weapons you would like to try out from here scrap.tf, normal weapons there can be bought and sold at the same price of 0.5 scrap . If you're into hats, I would go to backpack.tf, bazaar.tf, tf2outpost or trade.tf (It doesn't sell by itself, it gives you a list of that item from all 3 websites.)

If you want to use that Ref to make more money, I recommend buying a 1 day premium to trade.tf and finding good trades there. Then selling the items you get. If you want a more in-depth video, Youtube has hundreds.

Avoid getting scrap weapons as they are easy to get through drops, I recommend making a set, cosmetics and paints, and maybe a strange weapon if you have enough.
