OP, to be honest with you a lot of people throw around Bose like they're a premier audio company simply because they have pedigree but most of the stuff they produce nowadays is really overpriced and have lackluster performance. You're money is best put towards other brands.

I suggest these two, but I'm not sure on the availability in Canada.

I need braided headphones to even make this last. @Doc can you suggest a material stronger then a braided wire earbuds? I am going for endurance over quality.
1.)I sleep with my earbuds on
2.)I am rough with them
3.)Rubber material wires last me about 1 month

Etymotics make some IEM's with kevlar enforced cables. Theres also the Brainwavz S5 which has a nice thick cable, and the audio quality is pretty good. However the most durable cables are the detachable ones but getting a proper IEM with a socket for them will cost you, not to mention most good cables cost $100 and above like MA Silver Dragon V1 which is around $150.
