Question on VAC

If we use a hack, and like VAC doesn't detect it does VAC have to update in order to detect it or is the hack safe for the whole remainder until VAC is updated?

From my experience if the hack is undetected it wont be detected until the game updates.

That is not correct; just because the game updates does not make it detected. The only way that is true is when the game updates accordingly.

They can just add the signature without updating the game or steam.
