I've been in the passenger seat, its a nice ride, definitely not a bad buy but if your heart belongs to a subaru then meh-meh, if you know where I'm going. You'll probably regret it after a while.
I've been looking at 2004 Subaru WRXs, but I've been looking at other cars as well. The 2004 Mazda RX-8 Manual has almost the same specs as the 2004 WRX (Same 0-60, Same 1/4 Mile, same Gas mileage, Same power output, etc.) but it's almost half the price.
I found a WRX for $6,200 with 180k miles, but I also found an RX-8 with 120k miles for $3,600. Have any of you driven an RX-8? And what do you think about it VS the WRX?

Dont do it. RX-8 require engine rebuilds very often unless it's treated perfectly. Apex seals get chewed out all the time and overall the rotary in the RX-8 is shit. It's N/A so there's no fun in it and the weight distribution is shit house so be prepared to have a very lacklustre handling experience. I almost bought one but after being in one and knowing a few people who own it there is a good reason why they go cheap.
